Actually, both -- in the first half. Georgia was down 35-7 or something at halftime. Made adjustments and was able to come back in the second half, but never did stop the offense at all.
UGA went down 28-0 in the 1st half (off 3 turnovers) but cut it to 31-21 at the half (held them to 7 points in the 2nd half). Teams combined for over 1,000 yards in offense and 54 first downs. Nobody was playing any kind of defense.
It would be interesting to see if he could keep up that kind of offense against SEC Defensive Coordinators who are the best in college football.
I have a friend on the coaching staff at WVU I talked to him this morning. He said that RR told his staff that he had been contacted by UAT but that he told them that he was NOT interested. Apparently they told him that they wanted him to come in and begin a "joint" effort to find assistant coaches. Typical bammer arrogance, they wanted the head coach to let them pick his assistants. He also confirmed that since he told them no, UAT came back and offered more money and said that they only wanted "certain" coaches held over. Sounds to me like they are trying to keep Kines.Once again, this is just what I have heard. It is from a member of RR's staff that I have known for quite some time, so take it FWIW.
