I just got addicted to Apple 8 years ago and I just like them, no snobism from my side. I got my first one as a Christmas present (the first iMacs running on first version of OS X) and literally I had it up and running within minutes, NO issues with using a brand new OS which I never used before. Got the new 24" iMac last year and I am now pondering about getting a MacBook...we'll see!
