Despite many allegations, by many different people: I do not want to starve children, rape the rain-forest, deplete the ozone, pollute the planet, oppress minorities, build glass ceilings, burn churches, lynch blacks, exploit third-world countries, or keep women barefoot & pregnant.
I am, also, not the son of Traitors.
As an American white male conservative, I am constantly reminded how evil I, my neighbors, and my country are....constantly. Your noble contribution to that chorus is recognized, and regretted in that appropriate context.
Treason is defined in the Constitution itself. All those who fought against that Constitution and the Union it perfected are traitors. You can define words any way you want but the dictionary doesn't change because of your definition.
With the dawn, into His hands we shall surrender
To His glory and when they tell the story let them say
Of the sons of the gray that not one turned away.
It's the last waltz for Dixie
It's the last song she'll sing
So play it pride for all those who died
And the spirit inside you that's the Dixie in me.
I believe, there has never been a group of men so splendid
Or a cause so well defended as our own
Be it Heaven or hell, and everywhere tell
It's the last waltz for Dixie
It's the last song she'll sing
So play it pride for all those who died
And the spirit inside you that's the Dixie in me.
For all we hold dear
The road ahead is clear
For all the things we honor
The moment is near
It's the last waltz for Dixie
It's the last song she'll sing
So play it pride for all those who died
And the spirit inside you that's the Dixie in me.
That's the Dixie in me!
Why argue with them. They cannot tarnish what we know to be true. Our men died for Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Kentucky, and Maryland and it was a noble and honorable cause.
For all those who died for Dixie, they have crossed over the river and now rest under the shade of the trees.
