You had better check your sources. Texas was it's own country from 1836 to 1845. Read the terms of the treaty. I have read the treaty of annexation, have you? And I can't see where it claims it retains the right to secede, unilaterally or otherwise. And even if it did, as a state Texas is subject to the same Constitution as the other states, and the right to unilaterally secede isn't in it.
