i just got off the phone with a young marine Lance Corporal (the youngest son of one of my friends), who arrived home from Iraq 2 days ago. he said that from what he hears on the shortwave radio & on "the www" that America cares LITTLE for her troops & simply wants the US out at any cost.

i told him that that was FALSE & NOT to believe everything you hear from the media.

fwiw, i was SADDENED by the phoncon. it reminded me of how my generation of GIs felt in the 1971-74 period, when the populus "turned their backs" on us. DON'T let them be forgotten, this time.
