If the contract stipulated that payment would be made to his children and not to Simpson himself, it is probably out of reach of the Goldmans.

LATEST: The father of RON GOLDMAN has instructed his lawyers to take action to seize all monies OJ SIMPSON was paid for a new book in which he hypothetically places himself at the scene of the murder of his ex-wife and Goldman. Lawyers acting for FRED GOLDMAN insist any profit Simpson makes from IF I DID IT, HERE'S HOW IT HAPPENED is legally owed to the Goldman family under the judgement of their 1997 civil case against the former American football star. Simpson was acquitted of the murders of NICOLE SIMPSON and her friend Goldman in 1995 in a criminal case, but was later found liable for their deaths and ordered him to pay $33.5 million (GBP18.6 million) in damages to the families of the victims. PETER CSATO, one of several Los Angeles-based attorneys representing Ron Goldman's estate and his father, says, "You can say we're taking efforts to execute under judgment for any funds due to him from the publisher." Simpson is set to appear on US network Fox later this month to promote his book in a two-episode show of the same name.
