Only in California, . . .No kidding. Here in Florida, we're giving them away. It's the end of the season, and FL avocados are almost the size of a football. Driving around in residential areas, there are tables, baskets and trash cans full of them with signs "Free Avocados." They take a full week to ripen after picking or falling from the tree. I just brought in the last three from my tree this afternoon. They will make a whole lot of guacamole.
