Dear Prayer Warriors,

I have never posted a thread, I hope I am doing this right.

We are asking for prayers for a dear friend of ours who is a minister of the Gospel and is in need of healing right now.

He is 74 years old, had a bout with cancer in his chest 2 years ago, had extensive surgery, recovered well and was cancer free.

He also had a major heart attack 5 years ago, lost close to 70% of his heart but was living a normal life with few limitations.

His wife called me last night to let me know that he was very ill and had to be taken to the emergency room. He has water in his lungs, water around his heart. He underwent tests yesterday and will undergo some more today. The doctor's preliminary report is that the cancer may have come back and spread to his lymphatic system and lungs. They saw some shadows in his test. They will know more today.

I will be gone most of the day but will appreciate your prayers for this wonderful man of God.

He is a humble, sweet, kind and helpful person and so is his wife. They are our spiritual parents and have always been there for us as well as for many, many others. We ask for your prayers for a healing. We are rebuking cancer and asking Jesus for a complete healing, nothing is impossible for our Lord!

Thank you and May the Lord Bless you all,

RM

Lord,
sometimes it seems we are walking with Job,
sitting down, scraping our sores
in the misery of overwhelming events and sorrows.
Help us, Lord,
when we need to scream
and to rant
and to beat our fist against the wall,
our heads against the floor,
and the dawn seems too far away to wait.
O Lord,
it is at that moment, I pray,
that you will wrap your loving arms around us,
cover us with your wings,
hold us tight as we sob,
or scream
or beat our hands against your embrace,
and when we catch our breaths,
realize
that the wood of your cross is not smooth,
that the weight is heavy,
and the road is hard,
but by following you through the dark of that sad day,
by knowing that this hard road is our link to your passion,
like you, we will come at last into the rest and peace you have promised us.

Amen.
