The holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
“Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”—But nothing unclean will ever enter it....
“You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.”— As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile.—Put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and . . . be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and . . . put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.—He chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.
