The Prayer Room: Praying for America, FR, and all who need it
Various | 11/8/06 | Knitting a Conundrum

Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.

Psalm 127:1
>

At this time, when feelings run high, the world seems crazy, and anger seems to be the one thing the peoples of the world have in common, I invite you, my fellow FReepers, to join me in prayers and meditation for guidance, God's help and for our fellow man, for America, our troops,  and all our own needs.

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father’s throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempter’s snare
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

William Bradbury

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change,
though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble with its tumult.

Psalm 46: 1-3

Prayer

Between the midnight of those who scoff
and the darkness of those who strike out in anger,
and the laughter of Satan as he watches the struggles
pile the pyre of hate and angst and grief
higher and higher and higher,
Teach me O Lord,
each day,
each moment
to see your path through the darkness,
to be willing to walk your steps through the rubble,
to cling to your light, no matter if it's brightness pains me
as I see the shrouds they would wrap your truth in.

O You who died for love of me,
teach me to live for love of You,
one breath at a time,
one step at a time,
one encounter at a time,
and may the light of the fire of Your love
keep the darkness of this age
from overwhelming my heart,
so that I may be your witness,
no matter the cost,
This day, and always, Amen.

From: Home Check Up Inspections [mailto:billwhite@homecheckupinspections.com] Sent: Monday, December 25, 2006 6:39 Subject: call to arms

Family, friends and body of Christ

Merry Christmas, I trust you all are enjoying this holiday season. I have some incredible news to share with you a critical request. The news is Satan has launched another surprise attack against my body with cancer and I seriously need your help again in staging a front against this attack against my body. Throughout this year all my tests have shown my body to be cancer free. However, about a month ago I started having some abdominal pain. Monday December 18th I had surgery to explore the cause of the pain. Cancer was found on the abdominal wall of my body and it could not be completely removed. Next week I will be meeting with my Oncologist to determine the options of another joint front of attack with Gods healing grace and medical care. I know that my condition is very serious and I don’t know yet how effective medical care will be. This battle may be fought with only prayer and Gods supernatural healing Grace. What ever the case I know that God’s Grace is sufficient. (II Corinthians 12:19)“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Pray that I will make the correct decisions concerning Gods will in the use of medical care then start praising God for the victory. This battle has already been won by Jesus over thousand years ago. All that is left to do is to take the ground that God has promised me and give him the glory. I am walking in divine health today and tomorrow my physical health will be restored to me. Please understand this is not just a small uprising of the enemy, this is a Pearl Harbor . This is a call to arms; soon you will witness again the mighty power of God’s healing Grace in my body. Please join with me in this fight in prayer and be a solider in this battle.

I will be having a debriefing by conference call on January 1, 2007 new years day at 11am. At this time I will be sharing all the details of my condition and my battle plans. Details on how to attend the conference call will be given by email next week. Listen in and experience a mighty move of God’s power. Victory is mine says the Lord..

Your brother in Christ

Billy

Psa 42:7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
Psa 42:8 Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
Psa 42:9 I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
Psa 42:10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God?
Psa 42:11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
............
Psa 43:3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
Psa 43:4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
Psa 43:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
.............

Oh Heavenly Father,
I thank you for another day in which to witness your Faithfulness.
Lord we are mindful of the trials of so many of your precious people.
We know that when we are tried, then we are the most shut in with you. We face you. We behold your mercy, and your quiet peace that is strong beyond our understanding.
You give us the small things of each day to occupy us and mark the time between Grace and Grace.
You are the Faithful One.
Though trials should overwhelm us, you give us a sense of your Presence and a song in the night in our hearts.
We shall yet praise you.
The end of all things is praise to our God who takes us from Strength to Strength.
Calm our anxious thoughts within us with reminders of your Steadfast love.

Psa 94:18 When I felt my feet slipping, you came with your love and kept me steady.
Psa 94:19 And when I was burdened with worries, you comforted me and made me feel secure.
.........
Joh 17:20 "I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word,
Joh 17:21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
Joh 17:22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one,
Joh 17:23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.

Father, commend your Love to us, and comfort our Brothers and Sisters who are being tried.
I thank you for the Love of God which is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.
We wait for your deliverance, for it surely comes.
I ask all these things in the Name of Him who loved us.

Rom 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

My life flows on in endless song;
Above earth’s lamentation
I hear the sweet though far off hymn
That hails a new creation:
Through all the tumult and the strife
I hear the music ringing;
It finds an echo in my soul—
How can I keep from singing?

What though my joys and comforts die?
The Lord my Savior liveth;
What though the darkness gather round!
Songs in the night He giveth:
No storm can shake my inmost calm
While to that refuge clinging;
Since Christ is Lord of Heav’n and earth,
How can I keep from singing?

I lift mine eyes; the cloud grows thin;
I see the blue above it;
And day by day this pathway smoothes
Since first I learned to love it:
The peace of Christ makes fresh my heart,
A fountain ever springing:
All things are mine since I am His—
How can I keep from singing?

I amen your dear prayer and sing with thee (for how can I keep from singing?!)

O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me;
let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy:
yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
..........
Rev 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,
Rev 5:10 and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth."
Rev 5:11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands,
Rev 5:12 saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!"
Rev 5:13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!"
Rev 5:14 And the four living creatures said, "Amen!" and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Oh Mighty, Sovreign Lord.
I ask that you would keep us by the Power of your Holy Spirit.
Help us to keep eyes and head lifted up, looking for your soon return.
Let no discouragement brush us, or take up residence in our hearts.
Let us confidently wait on you when we see these things coming to pass which You have told us about beforehand.

Mat 24:25 See, I have told you beforehand.
.....
Mar 13:23 But be on guard; I have told you all things beforehand.

Please give peaceful rest to all those who have grown weary or who are ill or in trouble.
Receive a shout of joy from us as we rejoice in you in the night.
Blessed are you Oh LORD our God!
Baruch attah Adonai, Elohenu.

Rejoice, rejoice, believers, and let your lights appear.
The evening is advancing, and darker night is near.
The Bridegroom is arising, and soon He draweth nigh.
Up, pray, and watch, and wrestle: At midnight comes the cry.

See that your lamps are burning; replenish them with oil.
And wait for your salvation, the end of earthly toil.
The watchers on the mountain proclaim the Bridegroom near.
Go meet Him as He cometh, with alleluias clear.

O wise and holy virgins, now raise your voices higher,
Until in songs of triumph ye meet the angel choir.
The marriage feast is waiting, the gates wide open stand;
Rise up, ye heirs of glory, the Bridegroom is at hand.

Our hope and expectation, O Jesus, now appear!
Arise, Thou Sun so longed for, over this benighted sphere!
With hearts and hands uplifted, we plead, O Lord, to see
The day of earth’s redemption that brings us unto Thee.

Ye saints, who here in patience your cross and sufferings bore,
Shall live and reign forever, when sorrow is no more.
Around the throne of glory the Lamb ye shall behold;
In triumph cast before Him your diadems of gold!

O Lord, Breaker of Bonds,
Emmanuel, God with Us,
O Jesus, you who call my name,
I hear your voice on the wind this night,
when daybreak seems so far away
and the shadows seem so heavy and close.

O Lord, Breaker of Bonds,
At times like these,
when the tempter comes to whisper
how little I am worth,
how flawed my life is,
thank you for your sweet voice that comes to remind me
how you chose to walk the long hard road
from Bethlehem to Golgotha to tell me that you care,
you who come to me as the Bridegroom
dressed in the thorns and welts and bruises and piercings
that are your wedding robe,
bearing the cross that set me free.

O Lord, Breaker of Bonds,
You who are the Bread of life,
You who feed me with your always living self,
how much you have given to show me
that although my strong right hand is not so strong,
your hand, scarred for love,
has broken apart the bonds of death,
that my will cannot save me from the blows of sin,
but that your grace is sufficient for all my needs,
that my friends, well meaning or not, all stumble,
but you are the one who will be with me at the very end,.
the ever living Word, there before the creation began
who comes to show me the truth that will not fail.

O Lord, Breaker of Bonds,
teach me to trust in your love and mercy,
this day and always,
Amen.

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Rev 21:6 And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.

Oh LORD of all, we bow before you.
Our hearts are in awe of your unknowable Power and Might, Love and Kindness.
Let the heavens be glad, and the earth sing praise.
Let them say among the Nations, The LORD reigns!
Worship God.

Lord we know there will come one with a great mouth speaking blasphemies.
WE PRAISE YOU. LET YOUR PRAISE AND HONOR AND GLORY RISE TO THE HEAVEN OF HEAVENS.
THE LOUDER THE EARTH CRIES OUT AGAINST YOUR ANNOINTED MESSIAH, LET OUR PRAISE RISE HIGHER AND LOUDER.
I pray we will be stalwart and steadfast.
I thank you for your word by which we can know you and all things that will come to pass.

I ask you to bless and help all those in need today of your Mercy and Strength and Provision.
Give us this day our daily Bread.
We love you LORD.

OF THE FATHER’S LOVE BEGOTTEN

Of the Father’s love begotten, ere the worlds began to be,
He is Alpha and Omega, He the source, the ending He,
Of the things that are, that have been,
And that future years shall see, evermore and evermore!

At His Word the worlds were framèd; He commanded; it was done:
Heaven and earth and depths of ocean in their threefold order one;
All that grows beneath the shining
Of the moon and burning sun, evermore and evermore!

He is found in human fashion, death and sorrow here to know,
That the race of Adam’s children doomed by law to endless woe,
May not henceforth die and perish
In the dreadful gulf below, evermore and evermore!

O that birth forever blessèd, when the virgin, full of grace,
By the Holy Ghost conceiving, bare the Savior of our race;
And the Babe, the world’s Redeemer,
First revealed His sacred face, evermore and evermore!

This is He Whom seers in old time chanted of with one accord;
Whom the voices of the prophets promised in their faithful word;
Now He shines, the long expected,
Let creation praise its Lord, evermore and evermore!

O ye heights of heaven adore Him; angel hosts, His praises sing;
Powers, dominions, bow before Him, and extol our God and King!
Let no tongue on earth be silent,
Every voice in concert sing, evermore and evermore!

Righteous judge of souls departed, righteous King of them that live,
On the Father’s throne exalted none in might with Thee may strive;
Who at last in vengeance coming
Sinners from Thy face shalt drive, evermore and evermore!

Thee let old men, thee let young men, thee let boys in chorus sing;
Matrons, virgins, little maidens, with glad voices answering:
Let their guileless songs re-echo,
And the heart its music bring, evermore and evermore!

Christ, to Thee with God the Father, and, O Holy Ghost, to Thee,
Hymn and chant with high thanksgiving, and unwearied praises be:
Honor, glory, and dominion,
And eternal victory, evermore and evermore!
