Thank you so much, dear FRiend. I prayed your prayer aloud just now, tears coursing down my face for this love coursing through us, for this glory to Jesus Christ, through Whom all the Promises are to us Yea and to us Amen.
Yes, Lord! Send Your Holy Comforter to dear Kirsty! Comfort her in ALL her affliction, and send many Incarnate Christs (Christians) to her bedside to comfort Kirsty with the self-same comfort with which they themselves have been comforted by God! Thank You, Glorious Giver of Good things, that in the Greatest Gift of All to All, Jesus Christ, we may approach, ask, and receive!
...and prayers for your requests as well, dear Twinkie, God's Love being shed abroad in our hearts through faith!
I read Romans 1-5 this morning, feeling very much led to do so. I saw anew how the conviction of sin leads to repentance of it, and turning away from sin unto God in Christ brings the love and faith and hope for which we ever longed but had no name for in our unbelief.
Thanks so much for your prayer and Christian support! My Dad's surgery on his broken leg is at noon today (Friday) CST. He is placing his trust in the Lord, as he told me yesterday "to live is Christ, to die is gain". He is not in good health, so this surgery is somewhat risky.
God Bless,
Ted
Prayers for your dad's surgery to go well and not upset his delicate health. This is the day which the Lord hath made - rejoice and be glad in it.
1Co 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
...........
Col 2:6 Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him,
Col 2:7 rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
...........
1Th 3:12 and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you,
1Th 3:13 so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.
Thank You Lord for this new day.
I pray we will walk uprightly before you, ever growing in our faith.
I ask to walk by the Spirit and to bring forth the Fruit of your Holy Spirit, today.
I thank you for this Abundant Life.
I ask that by your Mighty Power, you would sweep over our souls today, and help us be ever aware of your Saving and Keeping us.
I pray to be pleasing in your sight.
Revive us Lord, and help us to stand, unswerving, immovable in your Grace and Strength to the Glory of Your Name.
Let the Church rise up in your Power today.
I ask this in Jesus' Name.

O Spirit of the living God, Thou light and fire divine,
Descend upon Thy church once more, and make it truly Thine.
Fill it with love and joy and power, with righteousness and peace;
Till Christ shall dwell in human hearts, and sin and sorrow cease.
Blow, wind of God! With wisdom blow until our minds are free
From mists of errors, clouds of doubt, which blind our eyes to Thee.
Burn, winged fire! Inspire our lips with flaming love and zeal,
To preach to all Thy great good news, Gods glorious common weal.
Teach us to utter living words of truth which all may hear,
The language all may understand when love speaks loud and clear;
Till every age and race and clime shall blend their creeds in one,
And earth shall form one family by whom Thy will is done.
So shall we know the power of Christ Who came this world to save;
So shall we rise with Him to life which soars beyond the grave;
And earth shall win true holiness, which makes Thy children whole;
Still, perfected by Thee, we reach creations glorious goal!
P.S. I lit another candle for him especially for today:

Praying for your Dad, that All is Going Well in the Surgery, and that he will have a Quick Recovery. Our Father, Please Send Thy Healing Power Upon this Dear Man as a Gentle Rain from Heaven. Sustain him, our Lord, with Every Blessing of Thy Loving, Merciful Grace. Restore his Health, and Refresh him Every Moment from On High. We Ask All Things through Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
The Lord Bless you from Zion; the Lord Who Made Heaven and Earth." (Ps.134)
I was Blessed by this Hymn of our Brother William Cowper this Morning, and Wanted to Share it:
O LORD, I WILL PRAISE THEE (Is. xii)
I will praise Thee every day
Now Thine anger's turn'd away;
Comfortable thoughts arise
From the bleeding sacrifice.
Here, in the fair gospel-field,
Wells of free salvation yield
Stream of life, a plenteous store,
And my soul shall thirst no more.
Jesus is become at length
My salvation and my strength;
And His praises shall prolong,
While I live, my pleasant song.
Praise ye, then, His glorious name,
Publish His exalted fame!
Still His worth your praise exceeds;
Excellent are all His deeds.
Raise again the joyful sound.
Let the nations roll it round!
Zion, shout! for this is He;
God the Saviour dwells in thee.
We Love and Praise You, Your Highness, Thanking You for Your Wonderous Grace. 'How Precious it is, Lord, to Realize that You are Thinking about me Constantly! I can't Even Count How Many Times a Day Your Thoughts Turn Towards me. And when I Waken in the Morning, You are still Thinking of me!' Thank You for Loving us, O Father our King. In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we Worship You, O God, amen.
It is just like the Lord to use difficulty to Bring Blessing to us and Glory to His Name.
Not unlike many who serve the Lord, William Cowper was afflicted from time to time with depression, yet managed to live a life that glorified God in poetry and good works.
He was a Blessing to the people of his time, and to us also.
Thanks Kit for the hymn.
Here are a few links where you can read his poetry and learn about his time, and how he lived.

The Journey
Dusty was the road that day,
dust and rock and winter sun
where the small young women went
large with child and tired and bent,
down the road with her husband
on the way to Bethlehem.
Others passed them by as they went,
dust and rock and winter sun,
Unknowing of the wonder there,
beneath her heart a thing so rare
going down the road with her husband
on the way to Bethlehem.
She carried an amazing thing
dust and rock and winter sun,
A mystery unfelt, unseen,
by those who passed her travelling
going down the road with her husband
on the way to Bethlehem.
She gave a yes that shook the world,
dust and rock and winter sun
yet others noticed not a thing,
how a poor girl carried the whole world's king
going down the road with her husband
on the way to Bethlehem.
Is. 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
Thanks, Carbine.
