Amen to your prayers this morning!!
Psa 80:3 Restore us, O God; let your face shine, that we may be saved!
Psa 80:7 Restore us, O God of hosts; let your face shine, that we may be saved!
Psa 27:7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me!
Psa 27:8 You have said, "Seek my face." My heart says to you, "Your face, LORD, do I seek."
Rev 22:4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.
Rev 22:5 And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.
Most Merciful Father, living in light unapproachable, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Lord of Eternity, we seek your face at the end of our day.
We have need of a foot wash, since we are in the world. Wash and forgive us for sins and weakness and cleanse our hearts of grief and trouble.
Let us have that perfect peace that passes understanding. We will look to that day when we will see you.
Give us rest and help all those who call upon you.
Let the Name of Jesus be exalted.
Amen
You guys are great at finding Biblical passages and prayers to address specific situations. Do you have anything at hand that might focus our thoughts and prayers on the missing airman in Iraq and his family?
Thank you.
Father we pray for the captured soldier in Iraq. You only know if he still lives. Lord we pray that he does, and that if he has ever known your Word you would cause him to remember and hope in these words.....
Psa 139:1....O LORD, you have searched me and known me!
Psa 139:2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.
Psa 139:3 You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.
Psa 139:4 Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O LORD, you know it altogether.
Psa 139:5 You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me.
Psa 139:6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it.
Psa 139:7 Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?
Psa 139:8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
Psa 139:9 If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
Psa 139:10 even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.
Psa 139:11 If I say, "Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,"
Psa 139:12 even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you.
Be so near to him Father.
Psa 31:14 But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, "You are my God."
Psa 31:15 My times are in your hand; rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors!
Help those who look for him to find him soon.
Psa 35:17 How long, O Lord, will you look on? Rescue me from their destruction, my precious life from the lions!
Psa 35:18 I will thank you in the great congregation; in the mighty throng I will praise you.
Prevent torture. Make him strong and courageous. Hide him in the shadow of your wings.
Psa 71:1 In you, O LORD, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame!
Psa 71:2 In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline your ear to me, and save me!
Psa 71:3 Be to me a rock of refuge, to which I may continually come; you have given the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.
Psa 71:4 Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel man.
Heal him if he is sick.
Psa 82:4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."
If he knows you, let his witness of Jesus Christ shine like a great light.
Psa 144:11 Rescue me and deliver me from the hand of foreigners, whose mouths speak lies and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
We ask you to help him to live.
Pro 24:11 Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.
Give him your peace.
2Ti 4:18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
2Pe 2:9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,
Psa 91:15 When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.
Psa 91:16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation."
Amen. And thank you, bperiwinkle. :-)
I am grateful for you.

:-) Check your pings, I sent your prayer to the Mideast Live Daily Thread, where we were just discussing the missing airman and 2 other missing military men.
Twinkie here. I went to the doctor today and he discovered that I have a heart murmur and worsening high blood pressure problems; so increased b.p. meds and told me to get back with the clinic that did my echocardiogram a couple of years ago to find out if they found the murmur at that time and checked it out or whether it is something new. So, I need prayers for this, please. Thanks. Twinkie
I hope it is a Blessing.

Prayer for Twinkie. See Message 468
There's psalm 59:
1: Deliver me from my enemies, O my God, protect me from those who rise up against me,
2: deliver me from those who work evil, and save me from bloodthirsty men.
3: For, lo, they lie in wait for my life; fierce men band themselves against me. For no transgression or sin of mine, O LORD,
4: for no fault of mine, they run and make ready. Rouse thyself, come to my help, and see!
5: Thou, LORD God of hosts, art God of Israel. Awake to punish all the nations; spare none of those who treacherously plot evil. [Selah]
6: Each evening they come back, howling like dogs and prowling about the city.
7: There they are, bellowing with their mouths, and snarling with their lips -- for "Who," they think, "will hear us?"
8: But thou, O LORD, dost laugh at them; thou dost hold all the nations in derision.
9: O my Strength, I will sing praises to thee; for thou, O God, art my fortress.
10: My God in his steadfast love will meet me; my God will let me look in triumph on my enemies.
11: Slay them not, lest my people forget; make them totter by thy power, and bring them down, O Lord, our shield!
12: For the sin of their mouths, the words of their lips, let them be trapped in their pride. For the cursing and lies which they utter,
13: consume them in wrath, consume them till they are no more, that men may know that God rules over Jacob to the ends of the earth. [Selah]
14: Each evening they come back, howling like dogs and prowling about the city.
15: They roam about for food, and growl if they do not get their fill.
16: But I will sing of thy might; I will sing aloud of thy steadfast love in the morning. For thou hast been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress.
17: O my Strength, I will sing praises to thee, for thou, O God, art my fortress, the God who shows me steadfast love.
Thank you, Knitting, I've printed both of these off to keep near at hand for awhile.
This thread is a Godsend. (ahem) :-)
Bless your heart in every good way.

Mar 1:35 And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.
Thank you Father for this new day. I will look for your hand.
Help me to be self disciplined today and work hard.
You have given the Fruit of the Spirit that I might have an abundant life.
I will remember all your mighty works in my behalf. Great is your faithfulness.
Help me to be alert.
I pray for the salvation of many today. Let them be drawn to you through Jesus.
Isa 33:2 O LORD, be gracious to us; we wait for you. Be our arm every morning, our salvation in the time of trouble.
Psa 5:3 O LORD, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch.
Psa 90:14 Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Psa 143:8 Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.
Guide me and lead me. I will know in my heart that you are directing me.
Bless the brethren of this prayer fellowship as they go about the day. Rejoice their hearts as they walk in your Presence.
Lead us in the way everlasting to the Glory of your Name.
