Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
Psalm 127:1>
At this time, when feelings run high, the world seems crazy, and anger seems to be the one thing the peoples of the world have in common, I invite you, my fellow FReepers, to join me in prayers and meditation for guidance, God's help and for our fellow man, for America, our troops, and all our own needs.
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Fathers throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempters snare
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!
William Bradbury
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change,
though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble with its tumult.
Psalm 46: 1-3
Hey! that last one was so loud it woke me up!
You guys!
1Ch 16:31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice, and let them say among the nations, "The LORD reigns!"
1Ch 16:32 Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it!
1Ch 16:33 Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth.
1Ch 16:34 Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!
1Ch 16:35 Say also: "Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather and deliver us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, and glory in your praise.
1Ch 16:36 Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting!" Then all the people said, "Amen!" and praised the LORD.
Hallelujah! Glad all went well. I also re-lit the candles for Michael and Karleigh. Happy to hear about baby Nikolas. Take care and get lots of rest!
*He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters.*

HALLELUJAH!! Praise God for His touch on NIK. Praises that Kayleigh is at least up and walking and is off the ventilator.
Will continue to pray for Michael
Winkle - so glad all went well. Praise the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men.
I'm thankfully waking up each morning rejoicing in the day that the Lord hath made and determined to be glad in it. Still dealing with the heart thing with hope; don't have a lot of stamina for the computer monitor any more, am having to center my strength toward the absolutely "have to" things around here. Thanks for the Word.
God bless you, Twinkie.

"Dangers of every shape and name
Attend the followers of the Lamb,
Who leave the world's deceitful shore,
And leave it to return no more."
Amen, even so, Come, Lord Jesus!
I rejoice at this entire report! Hallelujah, amen!
Testimony of Praise bump!
Hear what God the Lord hath spoken,
O my people, faint and few,
Comfortless, afflicted, broken,
Fair abodes I build for you:
Themes of heartfelt tribulation
Shall no more perplex your ways;
You shall name your walls, Salvation,
And your gates shall all be praise.
Hallelujah amen again!
May the God of All Comfort come to thee and be recognized in All His Glory.
May you overflow with praise at His Works, amen.
Gen 6:18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you.

1Th 3:11 Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way to you,
1Th 3:12 and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you,
1Th 3:13 so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.
.......
2Th 3:3 But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.
Oh LORD, from the very beginning, the entire work of Salvation has been from you and through and to you...
Rom 11:36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
I pray today LORD that you would firmly establish your Kingdom and Reign in my heart and in the hearts of all your people.
Let us present ourselves before the King today to receive from Him Grace beyond measure and patient endurance to Glorify Him.
I pray for all those you are calling into your Kingdom and ask for Mercy that they might Quickly repent from their sins, turn to you and receive you as LORD and Saviour.
I ask for help for all those in difficulty and trouble.
I ask for Joy for all those who are determined to obey you and all help for those who are seeking you today.
I ask for understanding of your Word and clarity of mind that you would sanctify us and give us the Joy of a humble spirit like our Yokefellow.
Our Joyful expectation will be met today, I know and I thank you in the Name above all names, that at the Name of JESUS, every knee would bow and every tongue confess that He Is LORD.

Come, Thou Conqueror of the nations,
Now on Thy white horse appear;
Earthquakes, famines, desolations
Signify Thy kingdom near:
True and faithful!
Stablish Thy dominion here.
Thine the kingdom, power, and glory;
Thine the ransomed nations are.
Let the heathen fall before Thee,
Let the isles Thy power declare.
Judge and conquer
All mankind in righteous war.
Thee let all mankind admire,
Object of our joy and dread!
Flame Thine eyes with heavenly fire,
Many crowns upon Thy head.
But Thine essence
None, except Thyself, can read.
Yet we know our Mediator,
By the Fathers grace bestowed;
Meanly clothed in human nature,
Thee we call the Word of God.
Flesh Thy garment,
Dipped in Thy own sacred blood.
Captain, God of our salvation,
Thou Who hast the wine press trod,
Borne the Almightys indignation,
Quenched the fiercest wrath of God,
Take the kingdom,
Claim the purchase of Thy blood.
On Thy thigh and clothing written,
Show the world Thy heavenly Name,
That, with loving wonder smitten,
All may glorify the Lamb.
All adore Thee,
All the Lord of hosts proclaim.
Honor, glory, and salvation
To the Lord our God we give.
Power, and endless adoration,
Thou art worthy to receive.
Reign triumphant,
King of kings, forever live!
--Charles Wesley

In all my prayers and singing this morning, this theme of adoration was very strong! O Come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!
Sic Deus Dilexit Mundum - For God so loved the World.
For God so loved the world,
the Son emptied himself and became man.
For God so loved the world.
he became poor and humble.
For God so loved the world,
he preached and healed and loved and prayed
even as people misunderstood him and often turned away.
For God so loved the world,
he let himself suffer agony in the garden,
knowing full well the sinfulness of man.
For God so loved the world,
he let himself be betrayed and denied and deserted
by those closest to him.
For God so loved the world,
he allowed himself to be abused and mocked
by those who should have given justice.
For God so loved the world,
he allowed himself to be scourged dreadfully,
for our sakes.
For God so loved the world,
he accepted the crown of thorns.
For God so loved the world,
he bore his cross willingly.
For God so loved the world,
he was nailed to the cross as a sacrifice for our sins.
For God so loved the world
he suffered and died in agony that we might live.
For God so loved the world
He arose on the third day, breaking the chains of death,
for our salvation.
Alleluia!

Here is a short and interesting article on a hymn by our Brother William Cowper and some interesting Christian History!
http://crbcviews.blogspot.com/2006/11/hymn-review.html
Jesus, where'er thy people meet,
There they behold thy mercy-seat;
Where'er they seek thee, thou art found,
And ev'ry place is hallowed ground.
For thou, within no walls confined,
Inhabitest the humble mind;
Such ever bring thee where they come,
And going, take thee to their home.
Dear Shepherd of thy chosen few,
Thy former mercies here renew;
Here to our waiting hearts proclaim
The sweetness of thy saving Name.
Here may we prove the pow'r of prayer
To strengthen faith and sweeten care,
To teach our faint desires to rise,
And bring all heav'n before our eyes.
Lord, we are few, but thou art near;
Nor short thine arm, nor deaf thine ear;
O rend the heav'ns, come quickly down,
And make a thousand hearts thine own.
Hope you're doing a little better now... let us know?
