I can see the darn thing in my mind's eye but can't remember the name -- the display looked like an electronic funnel and it involved spinning the track ball so that the player intercept changes coming from the bottom of the funnel before they got to the perimeter. It was interesting for about ten minutes.

Tempest was fun. Tempest 2000 was even better, but not the "touching the face of God" experience the gaming mags made it out to be at the time.
