Don't look at them if you are so offended. From what I can tell, this "vanity" stirred a lot of comments.

Because what happened to simple common courtesy and sense? You can't post your thoughts on an existing thread, why? Some threads have over 200 replies to them, it would easily be seen and responded to.

The moderator has not seen fit to remove vanities, and besides...respectifully, I ask, who made you the vanity police??

Maybe the Moderators don't have time to pluck every little vanity post and wants the Forum to run as it is? I don't know, but FReepers are grown-ups and should have the decency to reply to or post an actual article.

This particular vanity was a stand alone article from a thoughtful Freeper, was it not? It was not an "existing thread". I still can't see why some people take it on themselves to stifle comment, especially when the comments cause other comments.

Freepers are indeed grownups and do reply and post to an "actual article"....but, I would argue that most Freepers are at least as smart, articulate, and insitghtful as most of the writers of the "actual articles" that are posted here. I for one would rather read a "vanity" from Freeper Congressman Billy Bob than an "actual article" from the likes of, say, Michael Kinsley, wouldn't you?
