With that said, I admire (and always have) your love of this country, but cannot share your optimism (at least 'optimism' in relation to what I see as my own 'pessimistic realism').

There is little difference between citizens (and media) so devolved and the armies of brainwashed Muslims who accessorize their vests with bombs. It is becoming increasingly obvious: We cannot save our democratic republic with elections. Once we understand this, once we understand that we must go outside the system to save it, once we understand that this is war, not democratic process, we regain control. We see the solution. And the pessimism vanishes.
