My filter is so clogged I don't think my browser will ever work right again.

Our guys prided themselves on not paying attention to the polls - they would read constituents letters etc... The MSM trumpeted the "no polls" stuff and professional dems wrote fake letters. Professional dems called Hannity and Rush - but they figured out the scam. Now, Hannity and Rush are still with us, and our fearless pubbies are on the outside looking in...

I knew this was over when the President spent the last week selling to his own base to keep it. The base should have been sewn up long ago and he should have been selling to the indie's.

If you have to sell your base on you in the last week, you have already lost.

They lost because women voted for the other party.

Because of stem cells, and the anti-abortion thing, and the strict religeous thing.

the Gingrich Congress was just going along to get along,

They're Republicans. That's what Republicans do.

I'm very much afraid that they are already taking the opposite tack--blaming the defeat on the conservatives.

Bush has already fired Rummy, and is talking about sitting down with the Democrats to talk about raising the minimum wage.

Well, let's see if the dems will give us "compassionate" liberalism - or stuff their agenda down our throats.

Why the Republicans lost: Iraq, profligate spending, corruption, a do-nothing Congress, and the Bushes.

Only thing worse than losing is newbie vanities telling us why we lost.

Nope. Working the polls here in Florida the constant grumble was "taxes and insurance rates"

Not one person mentioned stem cells, immigration, abortion or religion.
