If that press conference Bush just had doesn't shut up the Bush bots around here then nothing will...bush was never a Conservative
Good thing our Republican Party has worked so hard and diligently to stem the overwhelming deluge of illegals entering the U.S.
You're being melodramatic...
Stop it..
Dems got a majority in the house, that's all..
Maybe they'll get a majority in the senate..
So What??
That doesn't guarantee the passage of any laws, unless the republicans cooperate and vote with them..
Even if the Dems pass a bill with a simple majority, of say, one or two votes, it means nothing...
President Bush can veto it..
Then they will need a 2/3 majority to override the veto..
If they can manage to get enough republicans to vote with them to override a presidential veto, then I'll start to worry..
Then again, if Bush doesn't veto it, I'll be worried too..
If that were the case, I would say we misunderestimated him.. badly...
I did my duty. I voted against Harold Ford Jr.
That was a fine sentiment for Monday. It's Wednesday. Too late, son; the traitorous American public has, once again, stabbed its warriors in the back.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough... the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!
What happened to the GOP I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble." Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Reid, he's a dead man! Pelosi, dead! Dean...
If Bush works with the new Congress to get his Amnesty passed, which the Crats are all for, Republicans will very soon be permanently irrelevant to the political process in the whole country. Just the passage of such a bill, no matter how restricted on paper will bring a mass migration that will come to define mass migrations for centuries to come as South and Central America
turns out the lights and heads north. These new millions(and millions and millions) will all be Democrat voters whether they are individually "amnestied" or not. One effect of this election will be the end of Voter ID and anyone within the borders of the US will be able to vote, legally or not. Why Bush desires this I cannot fathom but he must if he is not just terribly short-sighted.
The time for that has passed. with the Amnesty that both Pelosi and Bush crave and our Senators all want, too, the Democrats will have an unassailabale majority for as many generations as it takes the population of Latin America to move to the US and all turn into suburbanites.
