"Quick, tell my why Bush didn't Veto McCain-FEINGOLD... Or why he threatened to Veto legislation to close the border."

What sort of spending was in those bills?

Vetoes have limited viability for affecting spending. All the Dems have to do is put a few orphan shelters and food for babies in the budget and then the President Vetoes it and all of the sudden he is starving Children and other blather.

You guys act like the President can just wave a wand and magically big spending will all go away. You forget the MSM and the LibDems. They would make hay over such and all Presidents know that.

Ya want Big spending stopped , first ya need term limits, second you need Congress critters who won't be big spenders.

There is a guy in the House right now, well I hope he made the purge, anyhow I think he is from Utah and was featured on 60 minutes. He stands up on the floor of the house and questions both parties on what all these markups are for. And if he feels they are wasteful he sez so in the record and notes his reasons why then he votes against the bill they are tied to.

Get 50 or 60 like minded guys in the Senate and 250 or more like-minded guys in the House and big spending will all but disappear.

So, instead of being a roadblock, it's better to be an enabler??

More liberal logic...

Get the GOP to grow a spine and they'll win the next set of elections handily. Stop making excuses. They aren't working and appear petty.
