Neil Boortz is quoted as saying: "So how did I actually vote when I got that provisional ballot in my hand. Straight Libertarian."
Thank you Neil Boortz. Thanks to you and those who think like you, we now have the Democrats in control of Congress. I hope you and your ilk are very happy.
Free Republic is allegedly a CONSERVATIVE web site. Will you libertarians please go somewhere like Lucianne.com, where you can laugh and smile about how you put the Republicans out of power, and leave Free Republic to the conservatives.
Oh, and one more thing.
Neil Boortz -- GO TO HELL.

I think Libertarians are extreme conservatives. That is why I am not a Libertarian, but a Republican with libertarian leanings. Amen.

"It'll be Rudy or Romney."
Why should the people, who have decided to tack Left, vote for a fake democrat when they can have a real one? It's not going to be either...it's going to be Empress Hillary. And you so-called Libertarians and Moderates will have 8 years to suck up to her.
To: Oberon
There are some lines you just don't cross. For some folks, that's one of them. Suppose Rudy had all the other issues right, and stated that while he is pro-abortion, the issue rightly belongs at the state level?

Libertarians believe that the government should never interfere in the private sector with the exception of protecting life, liberty, and health. Exactly what I said. Kill their children, do drugs, marry their gender - all of it in the private sector.
To: MplsSteve
Michael Medved calls them "Losertarians".Medved isn't even conervative. He's a moderate pu$$y.

Ny question is, What do Libertarians hope to gain by voting 3rd party when it is obvious they will never gain a substantial part of the electorate. It seems they must feel some partiality to one of the other major parties that they could help in winning elections.
I'm libertarian but I don't vote for my party when it comes to the congress or executive.... When the GOP ignores fiscal responsibility and grows the size of government, then they lose my vote... stop blaming the libertarians, this is the GOP's own fault abandoning their contract with America from back in 1994 .. so go cry about it, YOU were the ones that screwed this up... you can keep your big government party, I don't want nothing to do with it.

Boortz is a complete and total moron. I quit listening to him in 2003 when he told a caller he was an idiot for being a Christian.

Yeah...and Republicans are allegedly a CONSERVATIVE political party.I've heard that rumor before. ROTFL
To: JeffAtlanta
Looks like I'm not the only one ticked at Neal Boortz... and if Hannity keeps having him on he's going to lose listeners, too.
To: Mad Dawgg
Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the administrative branch initially propose the budget? It is then passed to congress for revision & approval.
If as you say, the president doesn't have anything to do with the process, who was that man asking for billions of extra dollars for the war in Iraq?

This is the only time where I think "blame W" has some merit.

Whining is such an attractive thing....

"Liberty" now equates to "liberalism?"
Libertarians are actually closer, philosophically, to the Founding Fathers than so-called "social" conservatives.

How many of his listeners did this in Montana, Virginia, Maryland???? enough to have elected three conservative senators if they had voted GOP instead of Libertarian? Looks like the answer may be yes in Montana.... which makes me wonder how many were/are Boortz listeners.
To: my_pointy_head_is_sharp
No, i don't think that you understand me. Yes, you are correct that many libertarians do not value the unborn as a life. But I consider abortion a reason for the government to interfere to protect life. I feel the same way about protecting children from being adopted by homosexuals. Drugs, gays? yes, I oppose both of them adamently because they go against my faith. But who am I to make support their illegality. They are adults and can choose what is in their own best interest- we are all equal and my pinion is legally no superior to theirs. The way I see it is that if I work to ban their choices, who is going to stop them from banning my faith in God along the exact same lines?
To: my_pointy_head_is_sharp
"Exactly what I said. Kill their children, do drugs, marry their gender - all of it in the private sector."
Amen. Libertarians are nothing but Democrats that don't want to pay taxes. I don't want them in MY Republican Party. Hearing them bray about how they're the true heirs to Reagan makes me want to vomit. Reagan was a social conservative.....anti-abortion, pro-recognition of the Lord, anti-drug. While our current crop of GOP leaders have failed us, the answer isn't in abandoning what makes us Republicans.
For the Libs claiming to be "true Reaganites"....I knew Ronald Reagan....Ronald Reagan was my President. You, sirs, are no Ronald Reagan.
