All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
Osama Bin Laden...
Muqtada Al Sadr...
Kid gloves in Iraq...
Defending our borders...
Defending our ports...
...
...
...
Behold the consequences of moral impotence !
When good men cease to act, they cease to be good men.
For the endless stream of self-pitying vanity posts that give aid and comfort to our foes.
I haven't seen any evaluation of the turnout. Did Republican voters stay home on this one?
"The House passed an Internet gambling ban earlier this summer, but the bill had difficulty moving in the Senate. However it was a priority of Senate Republican Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee, and attaching it to the popular port security bill appeared aimed at insuring its passage."
Thank you, Bill Frist.
Good Lord. Pull yourself together.
we have nothing to be sorry for, nor to be forgiven for... we turned out in far greater numbers than most mid-term elections.
we lost fair and square, but it is nobody's fault, you can't flagellate people for staying home when they turned out better than expected.
and we can hold our heads up high - we fought the good fight, did our part, and can sleep at nights knowing that tomorrow is another day, another battle.
can't win 'em all. be tall, be proud. show dignity and class unlike the dems who whine anc cry foul every time they lose.
His biggest problem, whether it's caused by aloofness or by an inability to see that it is an important part of leading. My frustration with it started with the 2000 "stolen" election and continues to this day.
We will now all suffer the consequences of his inaction.
We supported the war in Iraq, and he has not let our troops fight to win.

I happen to agree with you. We have just handed the wealth of the middle east to the Iranian nutcases. We can no longer project power needed to stabilize the world. We cannot hold together for a short antiseptic war with 3000 loses before our
public elects Osama's right hand man (Pelosi). Hezbollah just couquered the middle east without putting forth much effort. Bush has been castrated.
we all did our best, even bush. we knew all along that he wasn't the ideal conservative - he is no Reagan, but we did and continue to stand behind him. it is normal to blame the captain, like the Indianopolis for being torpedoed, it's just that the other guy was better.
could we have done things different? you betcha, but you can't have not expected this after all these years of smearing the president, the dems and the media never praising, always carping?
The average folks have been served nothing but negatives about Bush and the republicans - why is it surtprising that we lost? I'm surprised that we didn't lose more, given the climate.
Want as real scary thought?
WHO would be in charge IF something happened to the President and Vice President?
The name starts with the letter "N" and it's not a male.
SCARY!!!!!
We republicans believe in God...democrats don't.

Morally impotent, politically "castrated"...Not much different if you ask me.
Check my former posts and you'll see I have taken a beating for criticizing Bush in the past for these very things. I was not alone...He doesn't listen to his base. I wonder if the new Dems in charge of funding will cancel the F-22 or JSF programs while our enemies arm themselves ?
I got soooo mad when he let them paint him responsible for the after-Katrina mess. Everybody I have ever talked to from LA blamed the real idiots--the governor and mayor of NOLA.
Reagan was a GENUSIS at THIS.
