When you are at war, death comes. It is the battle that is worth fighting that makes death heroic or vain.

We have lost more dead on islands in the Pacific in just hours. We lost 3,000 dead on 9/11. The numbers are not significant. The battle is significant. Did we win or did we lose? We lost on 9/11. We defeated the Baathists in Iraq and now we must defeat the arab/muslim enemy.

3,000 dead in Iraq is not significant. What is significant is our will to win. We cannot bring back the dead. We lose that many each year in the USA due to domestic violence. No one says anything.

But, in uniform, fighting for the USA - then it is an important statistic. Not the action or death is important, only the statistic.

We need warriors. This country needs the Warrior Spirit. We have lost that and we will pay mightly for it.

People like Echo Talon know what I am writing about. Hopefully, you can understand as well.

thanks, people have NO sense of History and what we really face. WE ARE AT WAR, IRAQ IS A WAR AFTER ALL... Its not a vacation.

No one is saying we don't need warriors. I'm not saying we need to cut and run (if anything we need to take off the kid gloves with the vermin) however I believe it is tasteless to call our warriors and there families sacrifices as insignificant and nothing. We must be prepared to pay any price, however we must not piss on those who have born the cost of the war. Casualties are a realty of war, they are however not nothing.
