And what dose Bush learn from all of this tonight? Yea! now we can throw open the borders? How much longer do you think it will be till a dirt bomb is smuggled in through Mexico?

The Economy and WOT are his highlights. Thats about where they end.

Geez, those are pretty big ones doncha think? And if you think you'll get border security from this Congress, then you're smoking something. They'll exceed Bush on open borders by 1000 miles. Come on. At least we were starting to move in the right direction with the current congress and amnesty had been stopped. All bets are off noW

It's impossible to prevent terrorist acts while retaining our liberties. There are countless vulnerabilities and there always will be, no matter what we do. The fact that there hasn't been an attack since 9/11 isn't because of Bush; it's because the terrorists haven't tried. If they had another good strategy like on 9/11, they could easily carry it off. Any of us can think of any number of ways to kill en mass and create an atmosphere terror. Trying to close off the border or harassing people at airports is dumb; it only creates the appearance of "security." The only possibilities are having secret police everywhere, like in Israel, except it would be much more difficult given the size of our country, or living with a slight risk, one of many. And in fact, only people in a few cities (including myself) are at any actual risk. Most Americans who complain that they are afraid of terrorism have never seen and are in absolutely no danger of it.
