The problem is a US news media that could portray nothing right about the economy or Iraq that worked over time to help elect Democrats. This was a massive unreported in-kind contribution to the Democratic party that helped them to secure this win. That media study released last week shows 77% of stories about Republicans or Republican-related issues in this campaign were reported on negatively by the Clown Car Media while 88% for Dems. were positive.

Meanwhile, Dem. scandals with Mollohan, Jefferson and even Harry Reid were mostly ignoraed. Mollohan and Jefferson cruised to re-election tonight. That should tell you something about why this election went the way it did and it's not Foley or Ney.

The problem is that, in the end, even Jefferson and Mollohan, in the eyes of voters, were just part of the same problem. It basically gave voters the feeling that things were rotten in the state of Denmark, and the bums needed to be thrown out. I don't think they paid much attention to the fact that the bums were just as much their guys as our guys. That's not a media problem so much as it is the way most people will see things. The clueless middle is always going to see in overbroad stereotypes, and the fact that we were running the show, and Ney and Foley did their things, killed us.

Soros poured huge money into this election - ACORN, etc. Untold millions. He's the big winner tonight. America is the big loser.
