As a former houstonite I am well aware of terror threats. And it ain't just cities, they uncovered a plot to blow up a nuclear site in Tappahanock Virginia a few years back, and that is a small town.

Before you moved out of Houston, you were in far more danger of getting stabbed by a mugger or even struck by lightning. But people focus their dread on equally unpreventable but less likely 'terror' attacks.

I'm not saying that terror isn't real. I was a few blocks away from the World Trade Center on Sept. 11. It just annoys me when someone from Council Bluffs, Iowa, or wherever says that terrorism is the No. 1 danger in our country.
