Well, Webb has an 1800 vote lead with 99.35% of vote counted.
McCaskill just took the lead for the first time in MO, with 3009 of 3746 precincts (none from Kansas City few from St. Louis).
Tester has a 13% lead over Burns in Montana.
If you count Leiberman and Sanders as Dims and those 3 races finish as it looks they will, Dims have both houses.
Bush, the GOP Senate and House spent hundreds of billions of our tax money just so they could continue their grasp on power. That money is all for waste, and now the increased spending levels will be under Dem control. Thanks GOP, thanks Bush.
Agreed. I will not go on medication, contemplate moving to another country, or become hysterical. Elections come and go. There will be another one two years hence. Let's suck it up, and get ready for '08.
If it's tied 50-50, the Vice President breaks the tie. However, Lieberman, I think, has already said he would caucus with the Dems. I don't know what the procedure for independents is, but i believe both would most likely caucus with the dems.
Pelosi will likely be voted Speaker of the House.
The Socialist and the Independent are in the Senate.
Dirty Harry Reid the slimeball from Nevada will be the Senate Majority Leader.
Talent is just now giving concession speech :(
A very sad day for us, I didn't think it would come to this, but if Allen wins this somehow, we still maintain the senate, though not by much.
Actually FoxNews got that wrong. When the State was reporting 99.15% of the vote, Allen still had the lead but the SoS website poster wrote Allen's number next to Webb and vice versa.
That has since been corrected and newer results have been posted...Webb now leads by about 8000 votes with 99.63% counted...
Yes - God is speaking to us!
After this election, we conservative, Christians will NOT be able to swing the Supreme Court to the right and the hate-filled anti-God left groups will be able to block Christians at every turn!
THIS was the most critical election of our time - because of the Supreme Court appointments and the possibility of Justice Stevens stepping down!
Well, Conservatives decided to "teach" the Republicans a lesson once again! The last time Christians sat out a critical election in '92, we got not just one term (4 years) of anti-God legislation under Bill Clinton - but 8 years of hell!
We suffered TWO terms under Clinton's ungodly leadership - ALL because we were "teaching" Republicans a "lesson!"
Now it looks like we will have two upcoming years of hell!
What is that saying - Cutting off our nose to spite our face?
Yes - we can take back what we lost in '08 - IF - we learn how to work a campaign better! We need to be out more vocally like the DemocRats did!
And God allowed this DemocRat victory just like He gave the Israelites King Saul to be their king because of all their complaining!
Like I've heard it said: We deserve the government we get!
But do we have any Pubbies with the abilty, ruthlessness and drive to filibuster?
Ed
Don't forget your ammo box as well.
Just to make things interesting, Murtha already has the Chairmanship of the Defense Appropriations subcommittee, and reports (on Fox) are that he's angling for the chair of the full appropriations committee.
It's over. The country is over, too. The Dems will cut and run out of Iraq and Afghanistan, cut defense, kill the Patriot Act, terrorist surveillance, et al, and we'll see Hiroshima-sized nuclear attacks on American soil within five years. It is what it is.
And possibly most importantly, your guns.
Have counted all the RINOs? The Senate was lousy with them. Part of the reason lots things didn't get done.
The GOP better slam through congress a supplemental trillion dollar military funding bill before the dems get to washington so that our troops are not left without funding.
They only need 51 votes to change the filibuster rule.
And of course Bush will get blamed for the nuke as well. Damn, this night sucks.
I doubt they would do that with a Republican President in power, who can still veto.
If any Party would do it, it would be the Party who controls the White House.
Too much doom! This is only one election cycle. The Dems do not have a clear mandate!
Bush can still nuke Iran, he don't need permission.
