Melissa Hart gone per foxnews. This has been an awful day! I will never forget the speeches she made at the Right to Life March.
Yes! Shocking, really. Just like Santorum losing to Casey. Casey! Completely vacuous, but that's what the DNC will like, he'll certainly do as he's told. Are you in Philly? They must be jubilant there - Rendell's big, sheeple filled homebase. It's a sad day in PA.
I'm beyond despondent. The world has gone crazy, and unfortunately we'll reap what we sow.
"i think what happened today was Americans bought the liberal media lies. We need to crush the liberal media."
That is the point that is missing. The media wanted to achieve this result and after hammering their lies into people's heads for months and months and months, they have now gotten what they wanted. I agree with you that we need to crush them--utterly and completely--so they cannot do this to the country again.
Irey is down too..
where are OUR lawyers????
Tonight was just dreadful. All types of Republicans feel from Santorum to Chafee. Both "right wingers" and RINOs had their share of the blame for tonight's bloodbath.
The loss of Melissa Hart is a huge disaster. For me this is the most depressing of all.
Yep.
The road back to majority status is gonna be ugly.
Here in Minnesota, the GOP lost control of the state house of representatives. We'd held it since '98.
We lost our GOP state auditor and secretary of state.
Gil Gutknecht, our 1st District member of Congress since '94, got ousted tonight by a freakin' nobody!
Tim Pawlenty will likely hold on to the governors office by the skin of his teeth - and had his opponent not committed a major gaffe last week, Pawlenty probably would have lost.
The only positive note from this evening? We held on to the 6th District seat vacated by Mark Kennedy. Michele Bachmann won it.
All in all, not good. Not good at all.
With Pawlenty just barely surviving, I guess talks of him being President or Veep will go nowhere.
Gil Gutknecht losing is a shocker. Earlier, the RATS tried to bounce him from the ballot due to improper filing for re-election.
Horrible it is.
With Pawlenty and Coleman winning in 2002, I thought it was the start of a re-alignment in MN. Apparently 2002 was just a one night stand for the GOP.
At least we have proper represention in our homes. You have Bachmann and I have Roskam.
One more reflection. Nov 7th's bloodbath will really emboldened Al Franken to challenge Norm Coleman.
I wish I lived in a GOP district.
I live in the 5th District.
My new Congressman is Keith Ellison, a far-Left black Muslim who counts CAIR among his supporters.
Only in Minnesota...(eyes rolling)
I didn't even know she was a vulnerable seat! Ugh. :(
That will not do him any good, now.
