Yep, they are in for a rude awakening- I'm sure the Clintons will be telling them who's in charge real soon.
Lord almighty- the hit that the stock market and economy are going to take- the tax increases , the death tax,- the stupid, ignorant, p's o s don't even know why they've done . ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The bully pulpit is covered in so much dust and cobb webbs- president Bush couldn't find it even if he did decided he wanted to actually use it. i,e to tout the positive economy, low unemployment, positive stories about Iraq (too late now though, all this is going to be over, Iraq a failure, economy crashes, and president Bush will be impeached). What a tragedy.
If President Bush makes a speech and the media doesn't report it (or worse, spins it) will the average American hear it? The media, is still powerful obviously. They worked hand in hand with Rahm Emanuel, Hillary Clinton, and Nancy Pelosi. And still, the BEST they could do is 11 up in the House. That is not much of a victory.

Before the internet, the results would probably have been much worse.
History has shown that no matter what the democrat candidates say leading into the election -- when push comes to push they will vote in a block with most liberal of rats.
Exactly.
Time for a new Republican Contract with America. Also, we should have corruption hearings on the congresscritters that have been corrupt. This will help us in 2008.
Good news is that the Democrats will rip themselves apart on the Iraq war and cut-and-run. Also, there is pressure from the base on Democrats to impeach Bush and cut and run, and to cuttle Iran and North Korea.
I think the impeachment will rip them all apart, because there simply isn't any big interest in that. In two years the Republicans will have the House back, and will gain in the Senate, simply because there are just two ways to go (as you noted) -- one, straight obstructionist with interminable do-nothing hearings on Iraq, with an undercurrent of cut and run, with a topper of impeachment; and the other, working to address other things, such as not renewing the tax cut (which has helped me, and I'm certainly not rich) in order to impose even more spending, including staying put in Iraq.
The Lamont-Lieberman struggle (plus Kerry's newest bashing of the military) was a preview of the next few years, and will culminate in a crippled Dim ticket for the presidency in 2008, and (despite the opposition and misgivings around here) an MOR candidate from the Pubbies which will prevail.
Before 2012 Ted Kennedy will either die or retire from the Senate for health reasons (or both).
