We got pummeled because, in a nutshell, the Republicans governed like Democrats.
It's quite sad. Here in Louisville, one of the hardest working and best congresspersons (Northup) lost to a limosine liberal.
I say, buck up and stop whining like 'Rats. Life goes on. Get 'em next cycle. And remember, next time we're be up against Clinton (mark my words, she'll be there, I don't care what the pundits say) and Obama.
One more thing: Bush has been too gentlemanly. Be blunt about the hostile press. Go on the attack. We need Lynne Cheney on steroids.
I could not agree with you more. Republicans have got to quit acting like limp wristed liberals or no one is going to vote for them. I did not want them to have to learn a lesson tonight BUT hopefully this will serve as a lesson to them ... will they listen ... they have not so far. Maybe it IS time for that third party ... In the meantime our Republic is going to suffer ... and I predict suffer deeply for this night
