I thought this part of his exhortation to his flock of silly sheep was particularly telling:

1.) Please stay faithful to God through service and giving.

Once a greedy TV huckster, always a greedy TV huckster. Gotta pay the mortgage on the "parsonage" I guess.

He's not around to get that money.

He's encouraging people not to abandon God and that church body because of his pitiful example. What's wrong with that?
