I had no concern with his poor grammar, per se. His poor grammar was simply an ironic parallel of his actions, putting himself before his family.

What "bothers me" is the fact that you focused on that one phrase, rather than on the vast preponderance of his letter, wherein he admits, acknowledges, and takes full blame for his wrongdoing.

If you can't see the forest for the lichen on a single rock, then I guess you've got a problem of your own.
