I've seen a couple of articles that said that Cannon confirmed that she had filed a complaint against Nifong, but had refused to give the name of the other person involved.
Have we seen any source other than KC Johnson / DIW say that she told him it was Couch?

No we don't. But his track record is better than the papers. Plus this wouldn't be the first time the papers held something back.
