No, I mean exactly what I said. Evangelical does not only mean a member of some evangelical Christian church. It also means someone who is an avid proponent of a cause or idea.

I am a non-evangelical atheist. Your definition of the word is too limited. You may consult a dictionary online, and you'll see what I mean.

However, I did remove the capital "A" from atheist. Thanks for calling attention to my tagline. I hadn't noticed that.

I suppose you can go for the more obscure of the definitions, suit yourself, but if you find someone assuming that you refer to the more common "evangelical denominations of Christianity" at least you won't be surprised at the confusion, nor offended at the assumption--but at least we can refer to traditionally accepted dictionaries.
