Someday I might understand why the Republicans did not play up the judge/Senate connection during this campaign season. It is almost as if they ran away from their conservative base while the democrats were trying to discourage that same base.
Hopefully, their last few days of catch-up will make the difference.
My fear is that they trying to see if they could make it without the religious conservatives so they wouldn't be beholden to them.
They can't.

I thought about this on my return from voting, zxins ... perhaps it was not to stir up, at this time, any great controversy between Republicans opposed to abortion, and Republicans who are pro-choice. The idea now is to retain Republican majorities and then present conservative judicial nominees.
Just a thought. And by the way, I was #171 before 10 a.m.in voting on the new machine, which I found to be easy and smooth and relatively private. Turnout is heavy. On the return home, I thanked the Lord for the peace that passes all understanding ... to God be the Glory ... great things He has done, and continues to do.
