It's kind of biased. The guy managed to do things that enabled him to achieve the profile of a definite threat to the safety of the VP.
Otherwise he's a mild mannered leftwinglunatic who probably shouldn't be allowed within 100 yards of the President or Vice President ~ guy drips venom.

The account is inaccurate. The guy was rambling around acting weird before he said anything.

This is an old and thoroughly debunked story. The man in question is an activitist lawyer who attempted to use a chance opportunity for his political purposes.
To: Allen In So Cal
No, It is not accurate.
This was covered at length by the local press who revealed the rest of the story. I will try to find it and post the actual facts of the incident.

Why is this here?
Thought such stuff required a source - or is FR going to become a forum for slander by anyone out there?

Actually, we have a liberal claiming persecution with no evidence.
This is an attempt to influence the election.

This is an old story from a month or so ago. I thought the original story said it happened in a mall. If I remember right - the guy approached Cheney and made his comment and left, but then came back a second time and was detained by the Secret Service when he appoached Cheney the second time.
Isn't that what the Secret Service is supposed to do? How did they know this guy didn't have a gun? The way the liberals HATE Cheney - how could they take a chance that this guy was harmless?

I would have done one worse. I would have nailed him in the parts with my knee and said, "Oh, excuse me," and move on. But I'm just like that. Why give the guy his 15 minutes when one could nail him on the sly?
