"There were numerous teenagers in varying degrees of intoxication, some that were very intoxicated, vomiting or sitting down with their heads in their laps, not doing very well,"

I heard the story on the morning news. These parents are quoted as saying that it was better that this was going on under their supervision. (After all, if you can't trust a third-grade teacher and a rocket scientist, . . .)

...it was better that this was going on under their supervision.

Until they step outside, and perhaps get into cars...

Both were involved in the campaign for excellence in Palo Alto schools.

Oh, I'll bet they were!

Must be a teacher type thing. Not that non teachers don't do this but I sure hear of teachers doing it a lot. When I was in school we had at least two teachers that did this type of thing. More recently we have had at least one teacher having parties and supplying pot to her students.

What is the matter with these people and what is the matter with those that actually support or defend them. My sister in law and her were both cops at the time (retired now), and when the teacher got suspended she said it really was too bad the teacher had gotten suspended because she was a good teacher. *rolling eyes*.

Then again, they are dems that voted for Clinton. She teaches bible study and one time I asked her how she rationalizes belonging to a party that supports abortion and defends an adultering president with her religious beliefs. She just shrugged her shoulders and went up stairs with a headache.

In a neighborhood I lived in before kids, parents next door to me opened their house to teens to party there. They also had six to ten adult monitors to help make sure booze stayed off the property. Once when I was on duty, I decided to go into the woods behind the house/pool area. I found a keg and twenty kids doin' their thing back there. We took the keg and car keys and called parents. But technically, we were all serving booze to underage kids... We could have been arrested.

The parents started hosting the parties at the house after the teens accidently set the State forrest on fire behind their house. Today, being parents, you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. Zero tolerance and all...parents are outlaws.
