I am not a big fan of talent shows.. but just happen to catch her first performance.. and I knew she would win the competition.. which she did..... and now her first cd is coming out... this kid is a real STAR !!

For an 11-year old she is quite incredible in terms of having a powerful voice for someone so young. I was quite impressed when I saw this live on TV.

But I would like to see some more range and depth and dynamics from her down the road as she matures as a singer and I do hope she’s given time to be a child first and develop naturally as a singer with some good coaching and lessons.

Yes, she can hold a tune and she can sing very loud and strong but can she sing soft with as much control and depth. To me that’s the mark of a great singer.

Some singers are just belters, like Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand having just two ranges and dynamics, high and loud and higher and louder. To me they don’t sing, they yell loudly in tune with the music.
