I know I had a strange event myself a few weeks ago. I woke up at 3:00 AM and I saw a strange figure at the edge of my bed, at first, it was kind of black but as I looked closer, it looked like my maternal grandmother and she was holding Pansy. Grandma passed on in 1997 and of course you know about Pansy. My grandmother always loved Pansy and always referred to her as "the cat with the tan stripe on her forehead." I said "hello and welcome" to them and when I went to touch them, they disappeared. I have other stories too.
I spent years and years and years not being able to talk of some of it and refusing to talk much in general.
Between FR and a few great cyberfriends, I finally began speaking in general and not feeling afraid to talk. (Major psychological trauma as a toddler, need to speak and unable to get the words out...so I just refused to talk much if it was very emotional. The trauma was accidental and nobody meant to do such harm, just a very bright child putting too much together from a "simple" explanation.)
What a wonderful story! I am sure you felt saddness, happiness, peace & confusion all wrapped together. Sometimes it is simplist to not try to figure all out but just look to these occurances as gifts
I know you are missing Pansy still & prolly will til you take your last breath
