Read the Files thing when you get a chance. Files said he and Roselli both fired almost simultaneously which would account for the two close-together shots.
Seems everybody in DC, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, and New Orleans knew that JFK was going to get hit. Wouldn't surprise me to learn that even JFK knew.
REPLY: I think the conclusion that Connally was hit in the back at Z=325 relies on credible facts and explains superficially that Connally was also wounded by a bullet fragment in the left leg when the Warren Commission said Connally was struck in the back.
I don't think whatever Files has to say is going to win any arguments with anybody. I will look just for curiosity (thank you for pointing it out) but I've resisted looking at anything I've seen before on him.

I have heard the "magic bullet" disparaged by many conspiracy theorists for many years. However, I own a couple of Mannlicher-Schoenauers (including the 6.5x54MS that is ballistically similar to the 6.5x53 Cacarno [sp?]) and know that they have been used to kill elephants because of their phenomenal penetration (do a google search for the 6.5x57 MS in Africa). That long, thin bullet will penetrate much more than the theorists accept. In other words, I don't believe that there is anything "magic" about it at all.

That's when Nixon tried to blackmail the CIA. It was interesting as to what he was trying to blackmail them with as some think the "Bay of Pigs" reference was to a planned assassination of Castro that "backfired" and resulted in the assassination of JFK.

IF Oswald was a patsy, then you have the suspicion removed from you, assuming you are a likely one who will be investigated.

"Why We Still Don’t Believe the Warren Commission"
The link above is a well written (IMHO) article one of the purposes of the Warren Commission and that was to show the LBJ did NOT have anything to do with the murder.
Today, I think it can be shown beyond any doubt that LBJ did order the killing. The initial efforts by LBJ to NOT have a commission investigate was based on it was a 1)lone nut killer 2) he's dead, no investigation needed....
A few weeks before Kennedy was shot, my dad took me to the pistol range atop the old Crescent City Garage in downtown New Orleans. I recall standing at that counter with my dad, waiting for the fellow to score my target all "official-like".
There was quite a group of "regulars" hanging around and talking guns and politics. Heck, Oswald's fingerprints were probably still fresh on the glass top of the ammo counter. You'd think that someone in there might've gotten a bit careless and mentioned something about the Kennedy "hit", but nuthin', nada, zip, zilch. Not even the casual "...can you believe the idiot is going to try to use that raggedy Carcano?..."
Well, maybe the memo didn't go out to "all hands".
No way were Connolly and Johnson involved and here's why:
1) Why would Connolly place himself and his wife, Nellie, in the car if he knew shots were going to be fired at their moving car?
2) Granted, LBJ and his wife, Lady Bird, were in the next car, but LBJ would never subject Lady Bird to any stray bullets.
3) LBJ knew Lady Bird would have left him if she ever suspected he was involved.
4) The Connollys and Johnsons remained lifelong friends. That friendship would never have lasted after LBJ left office if the Connelly's suspected him.
5) Their friendship was so close they bought vacation homes within sight of each other and could holler from one yard to the other. They owned those homes for decades and for many years it was the rare weekend that they weren't in residence.
FYI - I've seen LBJ's belly button.
I shoot a lot and have become quite proficient with arms. Two things puzzle me. I could not come close to making those shots at a moving target in the time frame between the shots using a bolt action rifle that Lee Harvey Oswald had. Also, why would an ex Marine choose a cheap bolt action Italian Rifle to use in an assassination attempt. He knew weapons and had fired good weapons in his training. The logical choice would have been an M1-Garand Model D. Eight shots, semiautomatic, with an 8 round inblock clip. It has a sniper scope and would be accurate enough at the distances for these shots. To fire at a moving target with a scoped bolt action rifle, chamber a new round and acquire the target again is not going to happen in 0.7 seconds.
Yes I do believe Lee Harvey Oswald was a shooter that day. I do not believe he was the only shooter.
The last thing that bothers me is Jack Ruby. The Kennedys had cracked down on the Mafia. Why would a low level Mafia criminal kill the man that had just killed the President that was destroying his organization? It makes no sense unless it was to shut him up. Also Jack Ruby had cancer at the time and knew he would not live long. I think he was ordered to kill Oswald. Oswald was arrested and taken into custody at which point a possible murder plot of the Mafia was about to be exposed. The backlash against the Mafia would have destroyed it in short order. They had to do something quick and thus enters Jack Ruby to Kill Oswald, and thus keep the lone shooter as a valid theory. I also suspect that if the plan had went properly Oswald would have been murdered and left with incriminating evidence on his body.
