I've seen the Paterson Falls, New Jersey. It is really beautiful. However if you go into Paterson becareful as it isn't the safest place. At one time Paterson was known for its silk industry.By 1870, nearly fifty percent of the silk made in the United States was produced in Paterson. In the early part of the twentieth century, the silk mills of Paterson fell victim to labor strife and never recovered.

I drive by the Paterson falls everyday. It's beautiful.
I stopped there in the spring two years ago, when the river was at it highest level in decades. The falls were twice as impressive. All those outcroppings on the left were underwater. You could see the depth of the water as it rolled over the top of the falls. It was three feet deep as it fell.
