I have Clear Cell RCC so I've followed the developments concerning Nexavar and Sutent pretty closely...both are targeted therapies that have a pretty good track record for about 6 months. Both drugs seem to have a high response rate (30-35% compared to single digits for nearly every other treatment) but sadly those responses are only temporary. I know of several cases where the patient had a complete stabilization of tumors and some remission but after several months the cancer came roaring back with explosive growth.
