In any case, that still doesn't really legitimize Roslin walking in and taking over Colonial One.Actually, I think part of the escape plan was for all of the people to get to the ships that they arrived in. This way, there'd be fewer overcrowding issues during their hurried rush to depart New Caprica.
Laura has been on that ship for the entire run of the series. It really is her ship.

Well, Baltar has been living and working there for a year. And leaving on the ship is one thing - she is clearly seen taking up shop at the desk. Leaving in that ship is one thing, but re-assuming the presidency is another. I got the impression she was re-assuming the presidency.
Have to tune in next week to find out!
