I don't have any affection for the Cards.
I have some affection for the METS because they play second to the team I really hate in N.Y.
If going by any degree of affection I choose the METS.
But since I'm rooting for the Tigers in the World Series I'd rather have them face a team I won't mind seeing annihilated.
Won't mind if METS win, but rooting for the Cards to be the ones beaten down by Detriot.

Delgado demonstrated why Jose Alberto is the All Star at 1B.

Hey I would love a Cards vs. Tigers World Series...Leyland is a class act and he and Tony LaRussa are good friends. I believe Leyland was the scout for the Cards last year.
Regardless of who meets the tigers, they will destroy the opponent. They are just too good this year. Their pitching is outrageous and the NL is leap years behind the AL.

Surprisingly, a pitchers duel......
To: Libertarian444
Yeah, Oliver Perez has been amazing. I think he's roughly the equivalent of the Red Sox' Julian Tavarez... incredible!

I'm not really enamored with either team but I'm watching because it's a Game 7 and I wouldn't want to miss history.
I think the Tigers are the team of Destiny.

That's a good observation. I'd love to see Julian as the #5 starter for the Red Sox next year. I absolutely dreaded seeing him come in as a reliever last year, but he pitched some really nice games down the stretch this past season.
Wouldn't mind seeing a rotation of:
Schilling
Beckett
Zito/Matsuzaka/Lilly
Lester (?)
Tavarez
next year

OMG! I would have sworn that was Beltran. That was Chavez who just stole a two-run homer.
