Poor NY'ers have to go back on that horrible No.7 train and skulk back into the night to pay more taxes and be crime victims.

Somewhere John Rocker is smiling.

This is so awesome... a brand new stadium this year and a world series for STL.

Sadly I'll have family rooting for the Tigers.

If the Cards had lost I would have also because they were my granddad's team. That and I DESPISE the Mets.

this guy has a good curve ball.

He certainly does. Final pitch was unhittable. Tigers vs. Cards, 1968 all over again! Gibson and Lolich, report to the bullpen and warm up!

Especially when you don't swing at it.

As my first Little League coach always politely emphasized...

"You DON'T look at a called third, EVER, you little sh*ts! Where's my beer?!"

As a Cards fan, thanks. I've been on the losing end of a few game sevens (68, 85, 87), so I know how it feels. What a series!

As a former St. Louis resident, who just spent the last half-hour in a near-apoplectic state of nervous half-dread, half-exhilaration... may I just be allowed to say:

WAAAAAAAA-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO -- !!!

Unbelievable to take a called third strike with two outs and the bases loaded.

Beltran will replay that pitch in his mind over and over again until the day he dies.

So much for having to be hot going into the post-season.

What a heartbreaker for the Mets. What happened, Beltran? Willie should have put in Julio Franco. ;-)

Oh well, both teams were awesome... pretty evenly matched. Congrats to the Cardinals.

GO TIGERS! :o)
