Our resident ultra lib has done just that.
***Mucho gracias, Senor ex-Presidente Bill Clinton!
Bill and Algore made us rich in the 1990's and now they are doing it all over again. If the Republicans want to blame you for terrorism, nuclear weapons in North Korea, failure of the Iraq occupation, and rising hostility toward the U.S. government throughout the world, the least they can do is give you and Mr. Gore credit for the 12,000 Dow.
America's greatest living ex-President just keeps on giving and giving.**

I saw that too, but then it hit me. Today is Thursday. It hit 12,000 yesterday, but dropped just below.

Maybe Im just ignorant of how this all works... but isn't the fact thaht the DOW has set 9 new records in the last 12 sessions a sign of a good economy? Consumer confidence is up, the housing bubble hasn't popped by any means, gas prices are lower, I could go on... Where exactly is the struggle?

Maybe Im just ignorant of how this all works... Here's how it works... Bush is president, so everything's BAAAADDDDDD!!
If it was president John F'in "Did you know I served in Vietnam" Skerry... Everything would be FANTASTICO!!
That's probably the easiest explanation!

"But everyone is convinced the Federal Reserve will be able to engineer a soft landing,"
What a joke. The Fed has never been able to engineer a soft landing.

"I'm surprised they haven't tried to give Clinton credit for it hitting 12,000!"
Today, in an interview with Bill Clinton, the former beloved President of the world was quoted as saying, "I tried to get the Dow above 12,000 but the Republican led congress stopped me."
Clinton was praised for his courageous statement by anonymous Wall Street executives and financial gurus throughout Europe.
"The economy is the worst since Hoover" Clinton said. "Women and children have been the hardest hit."

It's not a Democrat administration. They would have celebrated the great economy at least two years ago. Since it's Republican they still have stories about "the recovery".

Yep, the economy is in shambles for the New York Times and fellow liberal elites. Today the Dow is at record highs but the New York Times profits are down 39 percent. Gas is down about 75 cents per gallons here in Central Florida but Air America is filing for bankruptcy. Unemployment is at record lows but NBC Universal has given notice that its cutting about 700 jobs. Its seems that the only drag on this booming economy is the squealing of the liberal media.
