A classy post, too. (Bump for checking later. Wonder if there are any A's fans on FR?)

I agree that the Athletics are a great team; I've always been a Big Hurt fan. I went to an Athletics game in Oakland a couple of weeks ago (I live in Florida), my second visit to that stadium.

They're a great team but that stadium should be condemned - I can't imagine anyone arguing that point.

Thanks. Your boys are certainly playing good baseball. I'm a big A's fan. I go to 20-30 games a year. If the Tigers finish off the A's, they will me cheering them on to victory. Although I'm an A's fan Pudge is my favorite player.

Being a true blue Royals fan I never dreamed I would be pulling for a Tigers - Cards World Series.

Baseball and Kansas City legend, Buck O'Neil, will be buried tomorrow. KC adored Buck. A large birthday was planned for him next month. It will still be held to honor his memory. All the ladoes were asked to wear a red dress. Buck was fond of saying "never pass up a chance to talk to a lady wearing a red dress."
