Just curious when Diane Sawyer is going to grill former Democrat Presidential candidates Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson like this on their anti-semitic comments, which I might add seem to come out almost on a yearly basis. Or Hillary Clinton.. Oh wait, excuse me, Hillary moved on to calling Ghandi a gas station attendant, that doesn`t count. Or how about Leonard Jeffries or Louis Farrakhan or the latest U.N. toast of the town, Iraninan President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The last time I seen grilling like was with the 911 commission when they decided to call NYC firefighters "Boy scouts".
Oh wait, to my first comment, let`s not forget the Kennedys...When is Diane going to do a grilling of Patches or even better Teddy? Oh that`s right, a guy who makes movies is 1000 times more important that two Senators who get absolutely blasted any chance they get.
I`m a Jew myself, and it is utter nonsense to assume that because Gibson spewed this stuff while drunk, he therefore is an "anti-semite"...An anti-semite to me is someone who does or spews anti-semitic comments continuously, like an Al Sharpton, a Jesse Jackson, a Hillary Clinton or a Leonard Jefferies.
I`ve been in the same place as Mel, even busted for DWI 15 years ago, have battled that poison for years, and I can`t count the amount of times I`ve said stuff that is so so so so far away from how I truly think I cringe into a fetal position everytime I remember them, one time at my lowest point even telling my brother I wanted to kill him.
It`s all based on self destruction, you get to this point where you will do or say anything that is most destructive to your life, that will push people far away as possible to leave you alone to make love with that bottle. Like Mel says, you can`t know unless you`ve been there. You get into this insanity as subconcious calls for help. I mean what is the WORST thing he could have said to destroy his career? Well he went and said it. He went through hell making "The Passion" and he got to the point of saying "f- it".
Based on his statements with DS I have concluded Mel Gibson is an anti-semite in his sober state.
