LOS ANGELES - Country singer Sara Evans on Thursday announced she was filing for divorce and quitting the “Dancing With the Stars” television competition.

Evans filed for divorce from Craig Schelske in Williamson County, Tenn., where she lives, according to a statement issued by Allen Brown, her representative at Sony BMG Music Entertainment.

I just see molested little girls with destroyed sense of worth and so much self hatred they're committing spiritual suicide...on camera.

Hi again:

Forgive me, but I don't think you're talking about normal, average guys. I think this conversation has drifted.

It is bad, wrong, evil of anyone to in any way approach a child in any inapproapriate way. I have 2 kids. I can't express strongly enough how much I agree with you on that point.

But we were talking about average husbands on their PCs some evenings. That is not going to lead to child abuse.

Maybe we should let this conversation be, perhaps chat about it in another thread some time? It's been fun, enlightening. Given me much to think about.

You're right,
we should let it be....

but one clarification... We haven't drifted.

The molested girls are the porn stars....so any man who looks at porn is looking at a woman who was probably sexually abused at some time. Granted, not all the women, but the vast majority. Do you think a healthy woman with a health self esteem would do that for a living? Few if any.

Granted, the average men don't think in those terms...they just see T&A, boobs and butts....beavage in action....WHOO HOO!!

They see pictures....so no, none of them are molestors....

They don't realize that most, and I mean MOST of the time, those women were very damaged growing up..... So cause and effect you see.......No one wants to see how sausage is made....know one wants to know who died to get diamonds to them...no one wants to know how the actresses (and actors) are scarred in a manner that makes porn possible.

The 'personna', myth, story line is always 'She's a nympho and loves sex!'.....which means she was probably hypersexualized as a child and learned that her value was between her legs. So sex has become 'her'....all she is...

And she never got beyond it.

Even the great Jenna J. admits that she was a toy for an uncle (and her dad and brother ain't exactly prize pets towards her either).

So her 'hotness' is a scar.....bizarre ain't it?

I know the mentality on both sides of the equasion. I guess I just put names on the faces and imagine why they are there....and it always hurts. It hurts like critter loving me seeing a friend abuse an animal....it puts up a wall.
And THAT is why I couldn't be married to a man who regularly looked at porn....

It would mean he was too shallow to see how those people were created, and that it could easily have been me (if my will to survive hadn't kicked in I guess).

She's been doing the CBS show for several weeks now. Ratings have "tanked".

You should do an in forum on her, because when I did an in forum to find the posts I cited to her, I remember seeing her answer that question, either to you or somebody else.

Go to her home page. At the top under her name and sign up date, you'll see a link that reads "In Forum." It does a search on her posts, only showing her posts, not posts back to her. It's a really useful tool, sometimes I use it to find articles if I can't remember a thread title but I can remember who was in the thread.

It sounds like you've been thru some terrible times. And that seems to have a lot to do with your feelings on this matter.

I respect that, even if I disagree that consuming the product means you support child molestation.

Take care, and thank you for the discussion.

I asked you to porvide evidence to back up your assertion. I provided an article that cited several pieces of solid data. You responded with a tale, a tale that may be true, but without any evidence attached.

Where is your evidence?

A little bit of Sara update. She will make a brief appearance on "Dancing" tomorrow night to explain why she is leaving the competition.

To whichever FReeper asked if Willa Ford could take her place, the tab TV show I saw this afternoon had Willa making a statement that she had been approached, but she said the "audience has spoken" and she will not be back.

Today, Sara's husband is saying this was all a smear campaign against him by Sara's PR people and he denies everything. Meanwhile, she had to get another RO to keep him from taking a large amount from their checking account - one show said it was $450,000 and another said he had already taken $275,000. The shows also said that their children's nanny was one of the hubby's extracurriculars.

Unfortunately, I think it's going to get nastier with this guy. He said Sara has changed over the past year and is not the Sara he married, or something like that. He made this awful statement about how "he has chosen to forgive her" for the smear campaign against him. Ick, how smarmy - thinking the press will say he's a "forgiving" person.

Oh, the upshot of all was that "Dancing" producers said they might bring in a whole new couple to finish out the series. No clue if that's really a viable choice or will really happen or most of all, who it might be. Kinda wish they could let Vivica come back - find a loophole or something!

Anyway, poor Sara - hope things get better for her.

The husband is obviously off his rocker. Who in their right mind would cheat on that, or chose porno over that?

An old ex-Navy-chief told me one time, he said: "You can see the finest-looking, Playboy-grade model walking down the street...the most beautiful woman you ever laid eyes on...and you know that somewhere, some guy is saying to himself 'I HAVE HAD IT UP TO HERE WITH HER $H!T!!!'"

Screw Hannity-every man for himself.

Boy talk about depravity. You just beat everybody here.

You can have Hannity, I prefer Sara. That smile is killer. The rest of her ain't bad either. But that money would be hard to overcome, but I'd try.

I am against all cheating. But it's primarily men who do.

ashamedtobefromparkridge, I am mostly on your side in this discussion because I despise cheaters as well, but you are refusing to recognize that it takes two parties to cheat, one of whom is usually female, so by my reasoning, both sexes are at fault, not just primarily men. That is flawed logic.

And the ex-nanny is making the publicity rounds denying she had an affair with him.

Yeah - zowee. I saw her (Alison Clinton, lol) on those same tab TV shows today, saying Craig "never made a pass at" her and that she did not have an affair with him.

Whew. First off, she is almost as pretty as Sara, but in a different way (like she has a pierced nose stud, for example). She wasn't just the nanny. She had been Sara's best friend, then president of her fan club, then Sara's personal assistant, then the children's nanny, then a year off for eating disorder treatment paid for by Sara, then back to being Sara's personal assistant for the past year.

She just got married 3 months ago and both Sara and Craig were in the wedding party, plus one or more of Sara's children. Craig "issued a statement" thanking Alison for coming forward and empathizing with what she "is having to put up with."

Then, tonight, they saved Sara's pre-videotaped "statement" on "Dancing with the Stars" until the very end of the show and it was in the form of a very lame interview with the show host Tom Bergeron. It was only 5 minutes long and Sara said absolutely nothing except how much she had enjoyed working on the dances for the show and how she had been committed to going as far as possible, then one thing came up on Tuesday last week and that afternoon was when she filed for divorce (she got the report about what was on her hub's computer) - though some of that had been planned for a while, she said - then something else really urgent happened on Wednesday evening with her son and she had to be with him - not "practicing the disco dances," as she put it.

She was very surprised at all the divorce info that got out on the Internet, which Bergeron kept alluding to.

She said she had had to put her son on the phone with her pastor. Bless her heart - she was rambling somewhat, as far as which parts of the divorce topic she would touch on (none directly) and which parts of needing to be with her family as her reason for leaving Dancing.

I had heard elsewhere that her husband had threatened to take the family to Oregon that night (Wed) when she was so upset - against her wishes. That's when she had to get the TRO's. Her statement left a totally different impression from that, though - as if her son was in a terrible crisis of his own. She said he had been traumatized.

It seemed apparent to me that the husband was acting out whenever she was off rehearsing or practicing for Dancing.

She talked about being a performer and knowing how to go out there and put her "show face" on and she thought she could do it with Dancing, but that night it became impossible. She did say she might be back for the finale in a few weeks - and it was also said that she might compete in the next season's series.

My heart just breaks for her, whatever it is that's happening with her hubby.

There is nothing immoral about sex with a lifelong partner. No sense in getting all bent out of shape over Hildy's comment

Absolutely

I personally don't see the difference between porn actors/actresses and prostitutes.
They are paid money to perform sexual acts...the audience is the "john" and the directors/producers are the pimps.

I can't for the life of me understand why it is that so many people consider porn mainstream and even "healthy".

Prostitution - porn - it's the same thing.

(Phantom of the Opera for the Paso?!?!?!)

Finally, a non-deja vu post. I agree. I did not hear much of a Paso beat in THAT one. That just left me adrift and befuddled. Plus Jerry's technique was wobbly and generally weak. "Father Figure" has a slight rumba beat - not the most compelling, of course, but serviceable. I laughed during the 10-dance formation, when they went from tango to cha-cha with the same song. When I was a baby ballroom teacher trainee, I'd mix the two of them up all the time!
