Not admirable, not good coaching. But definitly not intentional harm. Six years is crazy.
Getting kids to pay attention is a huge challenge. Some lessons need to be painfull to stick. Noone on this forum knows if that was true for this individual kid. I doubt it. We've only heard one side of this story however.

I'm fairly confident that at 8 years old I coulda done some damage to another 8 year old's skull.
Rejecting battery on a young boy does not make one a nanny stater.
Hell, I don't think kids should have to wear bike helmets and find rules against running up the score in sports insane.
But this is a case where an alleged adult bribed a little kid to hurt another little kid.
