What I do know for sure, though, is that the law in NC needs to be changed. Their system is medeval - no, make that medevIl.It is. I honestly had no idea it's as bad as it is. I guess it's time to start making some noise.

If you're in NC, you might consider contacting your legislators and tell them you're disgusted with the criminal procedures in NC.
